Bootee is 26 years old Sam Evans. He is currently one of the fastest rising stars in the UK's underground dance scene, and is also label manager of Plastic Raygun, the hottest breakbeat label in the world. He began DJing as Bootee about 6 years ago at night clubs in the UK like the legendary Gumball Rally and The Milky Bar (home to a young Jean Jacques Smoothie). Bootee Began writing music two years later and to date has remixed and produced many acts including Jean Jacques Smoothie (man behind the worldwide hit single '2 people'),Dynamo Dresden (one of the hottest leftfield dance acts in the UK, they were recently asked to remix Whitney Houston ) and UK breakbeat superstars Phantom Beats.
Bootee also Dj's and produces under the alias of Vandal. As Vandal he has recently completed remixes for Japanese Jazz band Dimension , UK dance act Stabilizer , and Bungalow records act Stereo Deluxe. Vandal's first solo single 'Delivering The Goods' was released in January 2002 and became the fastest selling single on Plastic Raygun receiving rave reviews in NME and M8 magazine. He also mixed the hugely successful 'The Raygun Administration' CD Plastic Raygun's debut album and DJed for Annie Nightingale on BBC Radio 1.
